Michel is also just as active as a composer for the theater and ballet world, as well as for TV productions, to considerable fame. The threat of drowning in the sea of his oeuvre is real in view of the unprecedented amount of output, but once sailing unmissable monolithic rock formations loom up rapidly. 'Echo Transformations' is one of them. It's a magical album, where everything falls into place in a rich domain inspired by the Fourth World dimension. A world of sound arises from our imagination, stimulating the senses. A concept album where every sigh has its place and where no superfluous tone can be heard. Bigger and better, rougher and tougher, „Boss Moves 2“ boldly starts, where the first part left us: somewhere in London’s record store Bermuda triangle between Black Market, Fat Cat and Release The Groove circa 1995. You will hear traces of Italian imports and IDM, European techno, British breakbeat and bass music culture, the DNA of what would turn into tech-house. With Luca Lozano as the conduit, „Boss Moves 2“ seems like a kaleidoscope of influences and a flash of inspirations.Seemingly all of a piece, it never appears like a scheme, but rather as a spirited, soulful and special double pack for dancers, DJs and devotees. Made in Sheffield and done with determination!

Progression and creativity are keywords regarding James Plotkin’s oeuvre. Beginning with the relentless, ever evolving and hallucinating music of OLD, through his many solo records and collaborations, to the surreal heavy-weight sound of Khanate, he’s always been bound to be personal. And quality stuff. Proof of quality are these instrumental demos of his landmark album of experimental music “Joy of Disease”. Electronic dark psychedelic music to listen carefully at night, these are not half-baked demos. They have been considered worth sharing by master self-editor Plotkin, and it’s such an honour to release them. "The Joy of Disease: Demos and Remixes" showcases the initial recordings in preparation for the cult-favorite Joy of Disease album, released in 1995 on John Zorn's Japanese Avant label. These early home-recorded instrumental versions are supplemented by unreleased remixes from Plotkin and co-producer Mick Harris of Napalm Death/Scorn fame.
