VANESSA AMARA
The band Vanessa Amara comprises two members, Birk Gjerlufsen and Sebastián Santillana. Their music is purposely difficult to classify, working within a patchwork of playful absurdity and contemporary classical music.
In 2013 VA released their first album “Both of Us” on the Copenhagen-based imprint, Posh Isolation, and have subsequently had nine releases out on the label. Their tenth full length album ‘Cafe LIFE’ is an adventurous and uncompromising addition to the body of work that is Vanessa Amara. New music from a truly singular voice in Scandinavian experimental music.
